Jackson Yacht Club promotes sailing and recreational activities on the water, with an emphasis on seamanship and safety. We offer use of club owned sailboats of various designs. To use these boats, sailors must comply with certain safety requirements and orientation procedures as outlined below. Members may use club boat during daylight hours from Tuesday through Sunday during regular club hours. Club boats have no associated usage fee. The boat reservation for is online at the link below. Reserving party acknowledges that sailing/boating and water sports are inherently dangerous activities and that by engaging in such activities, reserving party assumes all risks involved and will hold harmless JYC for any resulting injury to any person; reserving party further acknowledges he/she understands his/her obligation to abide by all applicable state laws, as well as all applicable JYC rules and regulations (available on club website).

If you have never checked out a club sailboat, please email the Sailing Director at [email protected] to schedule an orientation.  All sailors are required to provide and wear their own PFD (life jacket) when sailing JYC club boats.  It is highly recommended that sailors bring a VHF radio and/or cell phone with them in case of emergency.
