The purpose of the Jackson Yacht Club is to support and encourage water sports, including swimming, sailing, power boating and cruising; and to provide good fellowship and sportsmanship among its members.  JYC offer a wide variety of sailing programs for adults and youth.

 JYC offers a wide variety of Sailing Programs including Adult Sailing classes, Summer Sail Camp, Middle School and High School Sailing, and Private Lessons.

Beer Can

Beer Can Races are open to all JYC sailors. These are fun, laid-back races. Don't have a boat? Volunteer to crew for fun. For more information contact Anna Marie Jones, Sailing Director at [email protected].

Regattas

 For 60+ years, the Jackson Yacht Club has hosted regional and national regattas.  Annually, the Club hosts a regatta for members and non-members in the spring and the Hospitality Regatta in the fall as well as a spring and fall High School Regatta.

Club Boats

Jackson Yacht Club promotes sailing and recreational activities on the water, with an emphasis on seamanship and safety. We offer use of club owned sailboats of various designs. To use these boats, sailors must comply with certain safety requirements and orientation procedures.

Harbors/Slips

 JYC has two boat harbors - one is at the Club and the other, England Harbor, is nearby. We have a total of 180 wet slips. In addition, JYC rents dry slips at the Club harbor on which a member can store a trailer and/or boat on a trailer. Dry slips are also available to members and non-members at England Harbor.

Gulf Yachting Association

Jackson Yacht Club is a member of the Gulf Yachting Association which is an association of about 35 yacht clubs along the arc of the Gulf of Mexico US coastline from Galveston Bay in Texas to Sarasota, Florida.  The GYA fosters the sport of yacht racing in the region and organizes interclub and individual regattas throughout each year.
